What it is WPAN ?
A WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) is a personal area network - for the network interconnecting devices centered around an individual from work - where a wireless connection. Generally, personal area wireless networks using multiple technologies to enable communication within about 10 meters - in other words, a very close range. One of the Bluetooth technology, which is used as the basis for a new standard, IEEE 802.15.
WPAN could serve to interconnect all the usual computer and communicate on a device that has a lot of people at their table or bring them to this day - or could serve a more specialized purpose such as allowing the surgeon and other team members to communicate during an operation.
Technologies for WPAN is in a period of rapid growth and development process. The aim is to facilitate the smooth operation among home or business devices and systems. Each device in a WPAN will be able to connect to another device in the same WPAN, provided they are in different physical one another. Moreover, the whole world will WPANs interconnect. So, for example, an archeologist at the site in Greece may use the PDA direct access to the database at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and to submit his findings to the database.
